This DSM Starter Motor is referred to, as a GM Off-Set Type, the starter motor prodomently suits the later type Chevy Small Block and Big Block engines, including the Late Vortec Series V8's and V6,s and also most Mercrusier Engines.
Please confirm your Starter Motor Bolt Pattern in Photo Six, the offset bolt pattern is clearly marked for confirmation purposes, the un-mark hole configuration is refered to as the straight bolt pattern type, we also have straight bolt pattern starters available.
These Starters only suit a 168T (T= tooth) flex plate or flywheels (flywheels being 11inch type) will not suit the 153T flex plate or flywheel.
The Starter Motor is 100% New Manufactured, fully tested and batch fitted to our test engine, assuring a quality fitment and hassle free installation, also included are the correct kneeled long bolts for ease of installation also.
For Marine Applications you will notice the starter is completely black coated, to help resist the corrosive effects of moisture that often occurs within a boat hull etc.
